Ruchi Patel is a licensed occupational therapist with 20 years of experience, mainly in neurorehabilitation. After receiving her Master’s in OT from NYU, she gained most of her experience working at prestigious NYC area academic hospitals including Mount Sinai and New York Presbyterian-Cornell. She has worked in all realms of neurorehab from acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient, and homecare.

In addition to hands on experience, Ruchi has taken an extensive amount of continuing education courses in the realm of assistive technologies, vestibular rehab, vision, cognition, and motor neuro-rehab for the upper extremity. She thoroughly enjoys learning and continues to expand her knowledge in the realm of clinical research related to neurorehabilitation, specifically stroke.

Currently, Ruchi consults in a research and training capacity for MicroTransponder, maker of the Vivistim® device for post stroke rehab. She is also a part of the research team at New York Presbyterian-Cornell, providing mentorship, support, and driving her own research.

When not working, Ruchi enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling, and reading.
